The complex
Worldschooling Bansko will be moving to a new location in 2025.
Right on the mountain, next to the forrest and some magnificent views, lot’s of different community spaces, but mostly we love the pool with thermal water and spa center that we can enjoy!
We think the new complex will be such a great fit to our program and we are so exited about it!
The community complex gives us the chance to intensify the community of Worldschooling Bansko. Families have the option to rent an apartment in the community complex, and be in the heart of the community, where children can easily find each other and knock on each others doors to play, or walk themselves to the activities. Parents can meet each other for a cup of coffee, and teens are safely able to hang out as late as parents allow them.
Pool and Spa center
The complex has a pool area with different pools filled with thermal water, and a spa area with facilities like a sauna, steam bath and massages. The pool and sauna area will be open for all families who stay at the complex. Families staying outside the complex can also make use of the pools and spa area for an extra fee. Please always keep the pool regulations in mind.
Coworking
In the complex is a small coworking space available that will be open 24/7. The coworking space is accessible for adults only. If there will be a large demand for coworking known at registration, we will request the complex to add coworking spaces, at the courtesy of the complex.
The apartments
The community complex has a number of different apartments available, in different sizes, to suit the different family sizes. This allows you to have your private time while being in the heart of the community.
There is super fast Wi-Fi available in the whole complex at an extra fee. We tested download 865 mbps, upload 900 mbps, 4 ms latency.
Utilities are paid separately.
Average electricity bills are €150 for a studio or 1-bedroom apartment, €250 for a 2-bedroom apartment. The apartments are heated with electric heaters.
Water costs approx €5-10 per month.
The cost for internet is €15 per month.
Pets are allowed in the apartments at an additional cleaning fee after consultation with the complex and according to their policy.
Note: each apartment is different in it’s setup, layout, and equipment. Please also read the Worldschooling Bansko expectations to have realistic expectations of the apartments in Bansko.
Apartment assignment
At the community complex there are a large number of studio and 1-bedroom apartments available. There are only a few 2-bedroom apartments, that will first be assigned to any larger families with smaller kids. There is also one combination of two connecting apartments that can function as a 3 bedroom apartment.
Apartments will be assigned based on family size and availability. We will discuss your apartment choice with your family and you have the option to request preferences and essentials, however keep in mind that availability for certain types of apartments is limited and essentials can lead to a place on the waiting list.

Family of 3: Studio apartment or 1 bedroom apartment
Family of 4 with younger kids: 1 bedroom apartment.
Family of 4 with older kids: 1 bedroom apartment plus maybe extra studio apartment in same hallway
Family of 5+ with younger kids: 2 bedroom apartment
Family of 5+ with older kids: 2 bedroom apartment or combination of apartments in the same hallway
