Adventure Pack
For families who want the full experience of Worldschooling Bansko, the adventure pack is created. The adventure pack includes exciting activities offered in partnership with third parties.
When added to the community activity pack, the adventure pack provides you with a full day activity program.
The adventure pack includes:
– Volunteering for streetdogs, 1 morning/week.
– Adventurous activities, ice skating, horse back riding, rock climbing etc, 1 afternoon/week.
– 1 Visit to the Rila Monastery.
– 1 Historical tour through Bansko Old Town.
– Weekly hot spring visit, 1 evening/week.
The adventure pack is suitable for children from approx 5 years old. Please assess for your family members if the activities are suitable for them. When desired, the adventure pack can be booked for part of the family, when notified at registration. The activity pack is booked for the full session. Transport to the activities is not included.

Activities
Volunteering streetdogs
Bansko Street Dogs is an organisation that has been taking care of the street dogs in Bansko for a number of years now. They take dogs off the street, care for them and give them up for adoption. Also they provide care for the dogs still on the streets by feeding them, providing them with medical care and having them neutered. Worldschooling Bansko has volunteered for Bansko Street Dogs for the 5th years now. We play with the dogs to help them socialise, brush them, walk them, and we can help with cleaning, making kennels, or whatever help Bansko Street dogs needs.
The dogs are all friendly, but they are still animals, and therefore we expect the parents to join the kids to this activity.
Adventure afternoon
Every week we will do an adventurous activity for the whole family to join.
Examples of what the activities may include are:
Ice skating
Horse back riding in the mountains
Rock climbing in the mountains
Rope park with zip lines
And more.
This is a family activity. During family activities we require a parent to join the activity, unless the child is at a maturity level to do the activity completely independent without any guidance and listens to instructions well.
Cultural activity
During our stay we follow a historical tour through the Old Town of Bansko, lead by a professional guide and learn more about Bansko and it’s background.
Also, we will visit the Rila Monastery to spectate this astonishing UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn more about it’s history, spirituality and architecture.
Hot springs
Every week we will visit one of the hot springs nearby. Hot springs are outside thermal pools with natural minerals, at different warm water temperatures. There are plenty of them in the area of Bansko, all in a different settings, however we will rotate the three most popular hot springs. The hot springs have dressing rooms, showers, and toilets available. Most have a restaurant as well.
Kids are expected to be accompanied by a parent.
