Community Activity Pack
Worldschooling Bansko offers an extensive community activity pack, specifically designed to create community. We offer a wide range of activities, for the whole family and per age group, to be able to gather a large and diverse community in which everybody can enjoy themselves while building connections with other Worldschool families.
The program is not designed for everybody to join all the activities. Participants can choose the activities that fit their family and are free to enjoy as many or as little of the activities as they like. All activities are optional, however all participants are expected to join the opening, closing and the weekly feedback meetings.
Participation is key. By participating and connecting with the community often, you create an unforgettable experience for yourself and for other participants.
The community activity pack includes activities for all ages from 3 years and up. For baby’s we have an optional babysitting service, when booked at registration.
A 6-weeks session includes the community activity pack offering morning, afternoon and evening activities, Mondays through Fridays. Activities will be offered approx 4 mornings, 3 or 4 afternoons, and 2 or 3 evenings per week.
Please be aware that any foods and drinks (also during restaurant visits), as well as ski passes are not included in the program.

Adventure pack
For families who want the full experience of Worldschooling, an additional adventure pack is offered for €35/week. The adventure pack will include activities 1 morning, 1 or 2 afternoons and 1 evening a week, and will include activities like hot springs, streetdogs volunteering, horse back riding, rock climbing, ice skating, Rila Monastery etc etc.

Activities
Skiing with friends
Three times a week we will meet up on the mountain for Skiing with Friends. We will ski/snowboard down the blue or red slopes together, depending on the group’s level.
This is not a ski class. Skiers and snowboarders are expected to be able to go down the slopes independently. (Comfortably on the blue 10 slope is expected).
This is a family activity. During family activities we require a parent to join the activity, unless the child is at a maturity level to do the activity completely independent without any guidance and listens to instructions well. All participants must carry a phone or have a parent present.
Ski pass is not included.
For beginning skiers there are ski classes available at a reduced fee. After approx 6 2-hour classes, an average learner can join skiing with friends.
Swimming with friends
Once a week we will go swimming with the whole group. Everybody in the family is welcome and we will have a lot of fun in the water.
This is a family activity. During family activities we require a parent to join the activity, unless the child is at a maturity level to do the activity completely independent without any guidance and listens to instructions well. According to the rules of the pool a swimmers under 14 must have a responsible parent present.
For participants not residing at the community complex a fee for the use of the pool applies.
Indoor activities
Three afternoons a week we organise indoor activities for the whole family. The activities are in general done in age groups. Where you see a dotted line on the schedule, the activities are done with multiple age groups combined. During the indoor activities designed for kids groups, parents are not expected to be present. If a parent does want to be present, this needs to be discussed in advance with the program management. Please keep in mind that the parents should always be available and ready to pick up the child when requested.

Bulgarian nature
Most weeks we will have an afternoon in which we will experience the Bulgarian nature with the whole family, through a number of fun activities, like mountain walk, sledging, bonfire and more.
This is a family activity. During family activities we require a parent to join the activity, unless the child is at a maturity level to do the activity completely independent without any guidance and listens to instructions well.
Dungeons & Dragons
Night out
Every week we will go out, either with the whole family, or with the parents only.
During the family diners we will go out to eat with all the families. It’s a great connecting moment with lots of chats and laughs. We will some a variety of restaurants with specific features, which have plenty of meal options for all. Kids are expected to be accompanied a parent. The cost are personal, but count on approx €15-€20 per person.
During the parents night out the parents get a change to enjoy the night with other parents, while the kids are taken care of. There is usually a restaurant visit included, but parents can also join and just have a drink.
Presentation
During the weekly presentation the kids show what they have done in the past week.
Popcorn hangout
While enjoying popcorn and hot chocolate, the kids are invited for an evening full of games, movies, or gaming time together.
Teen hangout
Hot wine & chat
With everybody together for the weekly presentations, we use the opportunity to create an enjoyable night together with the parents while hot wine is served.
