"To sum it up, I'd say life-changing. As a parent to a five year old and a single parent, this has been an exquisitely supportive community and a chance to study abroad with likeminded families. My favorite activity has been igloo building, even though Waylon was a fan of destroying the igloos. It was a splendid idea, really fun for the kids and for us. I would strongly recommend coming to Bansko as a Worldschooling opportunity. It's packed full of activities and a great chance to network with likeminded families. Bulgaria has wonderful skiing, sledding, horseback riding, and adventure sports. Vibrant."

“We’re four weeks in and I think we’ve loved it each week more than the week before. It’s been really awesome for all of us. My kids are 10 and 8 and they are thriving. Maybe the ATV riding, which is a bit strange because I would never have guessed that that would have been my favorite, but we all, my whole family was kind of surprised by how much we liked it. Wow. I mean, I think it has everything that we have been looking for in a Worldschooling hub. It’s really organized, so it sort of has a little something for everyone.”

Quinna (11)

“In Worldschooling Bansko, it's very different than in the US. It's always something fun to do, either playing outside or do the activities in the kids club. My favorite activity has probably been hanging out with friends and making up games to do in different places. I would recommend Worldschooling Bansko because it's just a fun place to be. It's better than being in school. You have a lot more free time and you could do really whatever you want. it's just fun.”

“We were new to Bulgaria, new to a Worldschooling camp that was longer than a week, so it's been a really magical experience for us. There's been a lot of down time so we could socialise, as well as lots of really vibrant activities and amazing facilitators. I've liked the things where we've just been playing games actually, just board games, 'cause we're chatting and it's really relaxed. We've had a lot more time to explore the old town and just meet people. I think from our experience, it's been affordable, it's been accessible. Emmy and all the team have really made it as easy for everyone coming from all different places around the world. The group has come together really easily and really quite closely. Memorable.”

"I really enjoyed the skiing. It was really good. The horse riding was nice. The quad biking especially was really good. The rope climbing was fun, and I just enjoyed being here. It's just fun and I like being in the water, and you can play with friends and be with people you like and love. Yeah, it's fun. Everything pretty much... happiness."

Johanna (14)

USA
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"Ohh, really good. The community is great. It's fun too. Visit and explore. Horse riding, that was really fun. It's really neat to build like a community. That's something that mom has always wanted. It's something that I didn't know I wanted, but it was really nice. And having people who are able to help you and support you."

Lorien

Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“I've loved it and my daughter has also loved it. We're loving the skiing, we're loving the round tables, the discussions. The conversations you have in the sauna or having dinner, for me that's the best thing. It's definitely the best hub that we've been to. She's built a fabulous little group of girls, they run around and they're very independent. For me, having likeminded people to talk to and for her to be able to develop independence., Community. Awesome.”

“Brilliant, really, really amazing, absolutely love it. There’s just so much put on for adults and children separately and together and family groups, parents nights. It’s a really good balance of everything. It’s quite full-on, like a stacked program that’s good, in a good way. We’ve really loved the dogs, taking them out for walks and taking care of the puppies. The kids are just at their happiest and calmest if they’ve got pets to look after. We’re a big swimming family, we love swimming. One of the things we wanted from world schooling was to get a proper cold snowy winter and we’ve had it. The six weeks is a really nice length to really make friends and build community.”

Mark

Portugal
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"It was very interesting, filled with all sorts of fun activities. I think very well organized. Hats off to the organizers and to the facilitators. You guys have been awesome. ATV riding yesterday was a lot of fun, across the steppe of Bulgarian mountains, great scenery, just generally fun. I also really enjoyed the rope walking and horse riding. Being in the same place allows kids to really form bonds and just hang out together and feel like kids. It's a community-building experience. That is the most valuable part of it, community."

Jana

Germany
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“Oh, we loved it. It was quite diverse kids club, a day where it's more outside, skiing, swimming. There's a huge variety. Skiing is always the number one, because that's what we're here for probably. Building the igloos, that was really cool. It's a great community. It's a nice setting. It's something different, it's not beach, it's really winter holiday. If you spend several weeks here, the kids get so good at it, and at the same time, you have a great community. You make so many friends here. There's so much going on. It's great for the kids, but also for the parents. Nobody really misses that diversity and community.”

Zoe (16)

Portugal
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“I really liked it here. It’s been really fun, the pool and the activities and everything, and the people. I think I liked helping the best. I feel the most useful then. I’d recommend it because it’s fun, and I think people are missing out if they don’t at least try it.”

Rasmus

Denmark
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"It's been really nice. I was curious to see how fast we could come together as a group, because in theory it's all strangers, but we share a lot of the same values like freedom and being connected. The group came together very fast. There’s some well-organized activities that took care of that, which gives me trust as a parent. It was like an instant community, which I think was very, very well. Horse riding was surprisingly fun. I felt in my element. The hot springs, very nice, just chill there, drink some beers. It’s a really cool experience, because you meet people you wouldn’t normally meet but you still resonate with them a lot. Unity, freedom."

Stephanie

“Oh my gosh, this has been a core memory. I love that we all live together. We support each other. We support each other’s children. I didn’t know that I needed this reprieve. My children have gained confidence. I really like the mom’s nights out… just laughing with each other. I’d recommend it not just for the children because the parents get so much from it too.”

Florence (8) and Waylen (5)

“I've met a lot of friends and all of the instructors are really nice. You can really bond with your community. All of you are so close together. You can really get to know your neighbors really well.”

Allison

"It’s been excellent. I’ve really enjoyed myself and my children have too. They're the primary reason that we're here, in order that they have other children to connect with. But I've found that where there are people for your children, there are also people for you. I’ve met some really inspiring, interesting, and lifelong friends here at Bansko. A lot of effort has been put into arranging the activities and the itinerary. The facilitators, the management, they’re all excellent. It’s very well organized and really good value for money. Fulfilling."

Roscoe (7) and Senara (5)

“Well, it’s good. Really good. Maybe Bansko Street Dogs. Maybe just because it’s like got a few entertainment activities. Grown-ups can either do stuff at their apartment or go out for something or do their parents’ activities. I recommend the sleepover.”

Anna

From Holland, and Greece
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"Worldschooling Bansko has been an amazing experience for both me and my daughter, and it’s been absolutely amazing. I think my favorite activity was the skiing. The lessons and the people here from the group. I would recommend Worldschooling Bansko because I think it’s an amazing way to meet new people. For children to make new connections, plus for adults to do all kinds of activities that you wouldn’t do in your normal day-to-day life. Bansko is an amazing place to learn to ski or to ski a lot. It just has many different things you can do. Joyful connections and adventures.”

Oliver (19)

Wales
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"I've loved my experience with worldschooling Bansko. It's been amazing. I love all the families and how close everyone has gotten. It just feels like it's a really nice atmosphere and environment to be in. Skiing with friends, it's just such a nice experience for everyone to do something they love together. The ATVs were amazing. It's just one of my favorite things to do. It was just so cool, and I loved how the kids got to ride on the back of ours. I think it's such a great way for the kids to sort of learn, but in not a school environment, and also just for you to meet new people. Just have like a sense of community, and it's just amazing. I recommend it to everyone. Community. Community, definitely."

Pascal

Belgium
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"It was a great experience. We had a lot of fun with our small family and a lot of adventurous activities. We also liked the way it was structured, so we had a great time in Bansko. I like skiing, this is specifically a place for skiing, and also the opportunity to have a lot of hot tubs in this area I liked very much. It's already well settled and well organized, so there is experience, and you can see that in the way it's set up. It's also a nice place. And the view every morning is amazing. You see the mountains and the tops, and it's kind of another way of living. Community."

William (12)

UK
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“It was really fun and I really enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the outdoor games like the dodgeball. It's just a really, really good community, you can meet people and go to people's houses really, really easily. You can make friends very well.”

Eleanor

England
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"This is our first time, our first experience with my son. He's 8 and it's been absolutely fantastic. Horseriding has been really pleasant this time and I think that my son has really enjoyed the skiing, so it's been a fantastic experience all around. I would recommend Worldschooling Bansko because it gave an opportunity to spend six weeks with your child wholeheartedly and just to give that experience where you're actually with him the whole time and just meet new people, meet new friends and just have the whole community atmosphere."

Laila (12)

Denmark and Croatia
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“It’s been fine. It’s been good. Horse riding because it was like you could ride the horse yourself and I love doing things myself. You get a lot of friends. You get to do a lot of fun activities. Interesting.”

Emmy (5)

Barney

"My experience was amazing. It was really nice getting to be part of the community. I really enjoyed spending time working with the children and getting to snowboard. My favourite activity was the ATVs. Riding through the mountains, getting muddy, and splashing through rivers. I’d recommend it because it’s a great opportunity to learn skills out in the real world, meet loads of new fun people, and share an experience."

Awilda and Ken

“Much better than I expected. The community that’s here that comes together and supports each other, it’s been really very nice. I actually enjoyed the weekly yoga that one of the other parents has been offering. I enjoyed the Friday wine and chat evenings. The activities are varied and yet all appropriate for the environment. Weekly hot springs are wonderful. I think it’s also good for people who are discovering world schooling. A good place to exchange wisdom and ideas.”

“I liked the kids clubs and the casino, the skiing. Because I like it here and it’s good here. Amazing.”

Jeremy

Wales
Worldschooling Bansko 2025

"It's been hugely varied, full of community, full on in a good way. Also quite relaxing in some ways. Yeah, just a wealth, wealth of friendships and experiences so far. Hot springs is rather nice... just a nice excuse to chill out and chat with some friends and some hot water. We were taking a year to travel as a family. The first three months we were in Asia, which was fantastic, we did a lot of interesting things, but we didn’t have a community around us to do it. I think part of the reason why we did this, and why I would recommend it, is that it just creates an opportunity to worldschool in a great community. It’s been a pleasure."

Dominic (11)

I like eating out and just, you know, spending time with people. Because of the way Emmy runs it, because there are activities for the kids and the kids were looking forward to the activities. It was a nice experience to be with people and, you know, nature is great.”

From USA and Guatemala

“I've really enjoyed it here in Bansko. It’s been great for mom and dad to have some free time. Getting lots of exercise and walks and enjoying all the activities that we do together, like the talent show that we just did. I really enjoyed the dinner where we all got dressed up as Bulgarians. It felt very authentic, and the ladies that cooked and cleaned… they were like grandmas. It was really fun getting all dressed up and taking pictures and dancing around"

Willo (18)

Worldschooling Bansko 2025

“I really loved it. I got to meet loads of new people, do some amazing things and lots of skiing too. The rock climbing, although I also really enjoyed the ATV. It’s a lovely, welcoming community. Everyone here was really lovely, inclusive and lots of interesting people from all over the world. Then also it’s a lovely place, beautiful surroundings, great skiing.”

Katy

Anne

France and Bulgaria
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

I've loved it. It has been just amazing and very rich and very instructive and just all over wonderful. One of my favorites was the farm that we visited with the typical historical activities. It’s three weeks together in a group that’s not too big, not too small. With just the right dose of activities, extremely rich traveling, seeing places, history, fun, family, culture, food, you name it. There were kids of all ages and just a right mix to really have a good time. Memorable."

Kendra and Gavin

USA
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"It was everything we expected and more. A fantastic experience that we would definitely do again. They’ve made some friends for years to come. Any of the hands-on activities that especially were based in the culture were really wonderful for me. I enjoyed the museums, the windmill experience, and learning about the water infrastructure. You get a lot of free time to do whatever you want with your family, but also good structured time with the community. It’s the perfect blend of worldschooling and meeting families and just getting to experience a culture in a way that we couldn’t have done if we had just planned it as a family. Fulfilling."

Elizabeth, Lenice (16), and Evan (9)

USA
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"My experience with this Worldschooling was amazing. I can't emphasize enough how happy I am that we made this choice. It was really exciting. It was awesome to see how a different country does things. I would definitely recommend Worldschooling Netherlands because it is an amazing experience. There's so much to do. You just meet so many people that have the same mindset. Everybody's so different, they're not all the same."

Jazmin

Mexico
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"This is my first time. I think one of the reasons that I picked this one as a first time in a hub was that it was well organized. The commuting with the bus, that was great especially for me since I'm alone and that would be a hassle with younger kids. I really enjoyed it when we went to the mills and windmills. Painting the clogs and learning about that, and a lot of the museums and seeing the kids enjoying museums. The energy among the hosts, it's great. If you're looking for something structured, it gives you a sense of an experience. I would recommend if you're having your first time as a world schooler. It gives you a good introduction to that kind of traveling fun."

Molly, Ruby (13), and Miles (9)

Mexico
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"This is fantastic. We carved clogs and we baked puffer cheese and we went to museums, so many of the things. The museums were hands-on and all offering different experiences. The Dutch games were silly and personal and fun, but it was different and something we wouldn't have done on a normal trip. I would definitely recommend it because Emmy is very organized and professional and very kind. Everything has been very smooth and she was very good at helping the group connect and make it feel like a community shared experience. Spectacular."

Louise and Dean

Australia
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"Yep, had a really, really good time. Girls had a great time. We've enjoyed it too. Good accommodation, good activities and lots of stuff for the kids to do. She's learnt a lot, we've learnt a lot. It's not something that you could organise yourself easily. The biggest thing is that there’s other families around that are here for the same reason, that they just want to have their kids interact with other kids. Two thumbs up."

Ryan (13), Bradley (11), and Colin (13)

USA
Worldschooling Netherlands 2024

"It was really fun. I learned a lot about the Netherlands that I didn't know before. I've learned a lot in three weeks. I really enjoyed the ship place where they saw the model ship and how they built the ships. I really like the theme park because it was roller coasters. I would recommend it because you meet a lot of different people around the world. Very organized, exciting, fun."

Marcial

Colombia
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

“There was like nothing that could prepare me for what I was going to experience… families, activities, new people, conversations, a lot of great memories. Connecting with people, how to create a community thing here is very easy. Just come in here, spend some time with people and then we just leave with more family. I can go to Germany right now, I can go to the UK and I will have someone that I can connect to in there. It’s so easy to just be part of a community, and that’s very big for us.”

Elly

Germany
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

“I really enjoy the community. The other volunteers are just amazing. We have such a good connection and hanging out all the time. The kids are amazing, they’re so sweet, and the families are nice. I think that is a really nice project and I’m having an amazing time. I would really recommend it.”

Laura

“Well, it has been amazing. This is my second year and everything has been so good with the family. The parents are amazing. I would recommend it also because of the amount of skills that we learn every day and like the social impact. We feel like a family with all of the other families, and we share a lot of experiences and a lot of dreams and projects.”

Jak & Lisa

"We've had a great four weeks here… it's been a great little community and families. We've had a brilliant time. Kids have loved all the different activities. We've seen snow for the first time, which has been amazing. We've made lots of new friends, and the community, brilliant. Hot springs are really nice. I'd recommend it… one of the best things about this is the community that it builds. You get the best of both worlds."

Kenia & Sofi (16)

USA
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

"Good, exciting and new. I met some amazing teens. I had tons of fun with the parents. It was great. Skiing was fun and so were the other activities. Parents night out was nice. The community, of course. It's fun and people are nice and you get to learn new stuff that you've never done before. Bulgarian culture and cooking classes. It's really nice to come to a new place and have sort of a built-in community, especially for teenagers. Loved it. Fun-packed. Exciting."

Annabella (12)

Canada
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

"It's very cool. I really love hanging out with my friends… we hang out like once or twice a day, it's actually very, very nice. I also really like doing the activities, like the egg project and making the sauce. I recommend it because people there are very friendly, and your friends can be right next door to your apartment. Happy."

Josh

USA
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

"I mean it's great. We ski all the time. The kids are in activities… I'm able to work. Having a great time. Things about hiking, volunteering, playing with the dogs, scavenger hunts, secret missions, board games. My dad actually came to visit… he just thinks it's so great, the different people we're able to interact with from different perspectives and cultures, accents, languages. It gives the kids more of a greater world view than they would have if we just stayed home. Fun."

Colette

"We had a full month of amazing activities… the highlight was definitely the skiing with my kids. We got a 20-day pass and we have made the most of it. I would recommend the Bansko worldschooling hub because of the community. As a single mom, I probably would not be here and I wouldn’t have done so many outings every day wasn’t it for the community, the fact that we had so many families going together and bonding. Amazing"

“I thought it was really fun. The activities were very outgoing, and the adventures we went to, it was all very fun for me. The Casino Night was really fun, and I learned a lot. Every day there's something to do. You're not just sitting in the house being bored. You learn a ton of stuff every day about different things, and you make lifelong memories.”

Dan

USA
Worldschooling Bansko 2024

“It’s been absolutely fantastic. We’ve loved all of it. My favorite activity is probably the skiing with friends. My children don’t really get to ski with other kids very often, and so that’s been really fun. My wife’s favorite was the Bulgarian dinner and dancing, the kind of authentic feel of Bulgaria. The kids loved everything. Really, the community that comes together. It’s just fun. Lots of activities, lots of kids, and lots for adults too. The whole atmosphere is really great. Fantastic.”

Marie

USA

"“It was everything I expected it to be. I came mainly so that my son could meet other teens who are worldschoolers and hang out, and he did that and formed some really good friendships. Our highlight was the Rila Monastery… lovely drive into the mountains, walking around, looking at the museum, climbing up the tower. It was really cool, really interesting. I’d recommend it because you meet like-minded travelers and people raising their children in a worldly sort of manner, learning about different countries and nationalities. Enjoyable.”"

I would recommend Worldschooling Bansko to anyone who feels like they need connection… it’s something different every day. Brilliant.”"

Kehau

“It feels really great to have made friends in such a quick time… Our kids really enjoy the kids restaurant, getting to make food and eat it. And they love the secret club too, they didn’t want to miss that today. My 4-year-old really loves being in the kids club space. She’s been every single day looking forward to a puppet show… I highly recommend it for social time for your family, especially if you’re traveling around the world and don’t have a specific community to be with.”

Jess (17) & Natalie (14)

“Really fun. I think we built a really good community with the teens, which I really enjoyed. It was really nice. The skiing was really fun. I really liked the sleepover, the Valentine's Day and horse riding. You get to link up with all your friends and make new friends and you get to ski. It's just a blast. It's just really fun. It's really nice now, and the people are really nice.”

Larisa

“It’s been wonderful so far… I really, really value the connections that I’ve made here and the opportunity to ski. I’ve been to quite a few hubs and I think what’s really wonderful about Worldschooling Bansko is that there is a really strong sense of purpose. In this case, the purpose is to build community… People definitely come seeking that community-mindedness and that just makes it a lot more pleasant to be around.”

It’s just a great community and a great mountain… I couldn’t recommend it enough.”

“Great skiing, skiing without a doubt… glow-in-the-dark paint, how to be a firefighter and postman, and secret club… we are big fans of the thermals… Bulgarian food, exploring the foods of Bulgaria has been interesting and fun… exploring new nature, new cultures, finding new friends… doing what we love which is being outdoors and skiing and hiking.”

“Our experience was definitely positive… we got more out of it than we expected… sledding, ice skating, swimming was good… the hot springs and the dinner with the Bulgarian ladies, that was also good fun… I would definitely recommend it if family wants to meet like-minded families, if they want to have fun, if they want to join a community and enjoy activities together.”

“For me, it's been fabulous. It's an amazing community… beautiful, the mountains, the skiing. Hot springs. What more could you want? I've just had some of the best conversations. It's so nice to share life experiences, parenting, and travel ideas. Community building.”

“It’s been amazing. So fun to be part of a big community, to explore Bulgaria, and be with my three beautiful sons. I love the hot springs, just sitting, talking, and relaxing. The potlucks, game nights, and all the variety of activities for the kids, it’s been great. A great community.”

“The children have really enjoyed it, which was the most important thing for me… they’ve made lots of friends and enjoyed all of the activities. It’s been a nice experience. I kind of like the parents night so I can socialize with the parents. My son is in the sushi making class. Sushi’s his favorite thing, so he’s super excited. It’s nice for families who are traveling alone… it helps kids make friends and keeps them busy. Good fun.”

“It was a really good experience. Something I definitely won’t forget. I just love everyone and everything here. They were all really fun, but I think I liked Dungeons and Dragons the best. It’s a really memorable experience… the activities are very cultural and teach you more about school in Bulgaria, and others are just fun things I wouldn’t normally do while traveling. You should definitely go. It’s beautiful and really fun. Memorable. Exciting.”

“We really enjoyed the time. It was our first time skiing, and with the 20-day pass, we skied as much as possible. We met a lot of interesting people from all over the world, and my kids improved their English. I really valued the conversations with other moms, in the pool or at the hot springs. I’d recommend it to anyone curious about worldschooling.”

“I love this project in Bansko. This is our second year… we’ve been here for 3 months and we’ll most likely come back next winter. I really like how this is well organized. Lots of activities for my kids to do. It’s been a really nice safe place for my daughter to become more independent… I can focus on my work, which has been great. I really loved going to the Desa House… the weekly community meetings have been really good. The community is the main reason. I really like how this hub has a big teen component… they do teen things together. I’d describe the project in one word: community.”

“It’s been amazing to find a community of other travelling families. Emmy and her team have found a place where we can all get together and spend time. Bansko’s great… a cute little town. The hot springs, for sure, I'm a bit addicted and I’m going to miss them. They’re just so relaxing… a great way to unwind. We’ll remember Bansko as the place we learned to ski.”

“It’s simple and well planned, and it’s flexible. I personally went to Bansko Street Dogs, soft combat, swimming, and sledding. I would say my favorite was probably sledding.”

“It was really good. I met a ton of great people… for me, especially after COVID, I was really missing new connections and social life. Leo’s been really loving just meeting other kids and making friends. He loves going to the kids club. It's full of Legos and toys, and he just spends the whole morning playing. There were afternoons where they went out. He loved seeing the animals at the farm. Nothing beats snowboarding for me… it’s my favorite thing in the world. Fun.”

“It’s the first time Joshua and I are experiencing worldschooling, and it’s been really great. I’ve met parents from all over doing different versions of homeschooling. Very inspirational. Joshua loved the nature walks and walking the street dogs in Bansko. He loves animals! The kids club has been a great space for him to make friends. I really enjoyed the family dinners too, chatting with people and hearing their experiences. There’s always something going on for all ages. Unique.”

“We like it, it's nice. I think it's been really good for our kids. The kids especially have enjoyed the interaction with the other kids and the different activities geared toward the kids. Just the camaraderie between the parents. It's been wonderful talking to other parents having the same experiences as us... for me, that's the number one.”

“We're really happy with this experience. The kids have lots of friends. Even though English isn’t their first language, they manage well. The instructors are really nice. We chose Bansko for the skiing, but we also loved the hot springs, family dinners, and the kids’ activities.”

"It's our first hub and I'm glad to say all of our expectations are fulfilled. It's exactly what we wanted. Everybody here is in a good spirit, just quality time with interesting people who live a similar way of life. For us, it was like a holiday from nomadding. Skiing was new and exciting. Hot springs, our favorite, we did it every single day. The teen group was quality hours with nice kids. It really feels like a community of similar people."

"I've loved my time here honestly. I like going on all the activities and a bit of quite some friends so that's a good thing. The ice skating and horse riding, those are my favorite things. We had just an amazing time, it was just awesome. Yeah, definitely come again, 100%."

“We've really enjoyed the experience, it's been a fabulous community to be part of. It's lovely to be able to relax… not something you get to experience everywhere that you go. Really nice opportunity to sort of be with other parents in a really relaxed environment and good for the kids as well. If you're looking for somewhere that offers you a sense of community… coming to a hub like this is really an ideal environment. Lots of activities that are organized… and gives you a good insight to what living in a community is like when you all enjoy traveling.”

“It’s a nice project and we appreciate that this is longer than just one or two weeks. You have time to arrive, time for yourself, family time, time in the community, and we appreciate that. Like meeting points around the world to meet other traveling families. We also love the possibility to go skiing here. My husband goes skiing with our two older kids and they enjoyed it very much. It's a good option to get in contact with other travelers… we are all in the same situation.”

"It’s the “with friends” part which was lacking in a lot of our other travelling, because we were by ourselves, so the hub provided us with friends, which makes it better."

“The hub is amazing, very well organized. They put in a lot of hard work to make it feel like a real community. The other people are really involved and pleased to be part of it. We've enjoyed the skiing and the hot springs. Probably the favorites so far. My seven-year-old has enjoyed meeting new friends and running around outside a lot. It's been really nice to have an in-between group that my 12-year-old can do.”

“My son, who’s sometimes quite reserved in new environments, just really came out of his shell. Everyone got dressed in the traditional costumes… it was really special and such a positive fun experience. This hub is such a great way to live in an intentional community and make connections for each member of your family. I think it’s a great opportunity to test out what world schooling could be. This hub, I think, is different than any of the others I’ve seen because it takes place in winter and there’s a skiing option.”

“I love what Emmy and Derisha have been doing here in Bansko. It’s just been fun, it’s easy. I don’t have to do any planning, the kids are just taken care of. I really feel like we step out of our normal life and it’s just on vacation mode for a month. I have definitely recommended to many families that they join the Bansko Worldschooling group just because it’s easy, it’s done. It’s just an easy way to get involved in the community, have kids there for your kids to play with, everyone can mix and talk and make lifelong friends.”

“The basketball project was fantastic. We really enjoyed the thermal pools. I kind of like playing with my friends and I guess the hot springs. Efteling for sure was very nice… it was just based off of like children’s books. We’re real glad we stumbled across this. We got to meet a lot of families, Jackson got to have a lot of friends, something we’ve been wanting to keep consistent.”

It was just a new and fantastic experience.”
